You can delete your Planet Snake account and the personal data we hold about you at any time. This page describes what gets deleted, how to do it yourself, and how to contact us if you cannot.
1. What we delete
When you delete your account, we permanently remove the following from our database:
- Your account record — username, nickname, email address (if any), Google and Facebook OAuth identifiers, snake colour, preferred language, and avatar variant choice.
- Your social graph — every follow and block relationship where you are the follower, the followee, the blocker, or the blocked party.
- Your game sessions — start / end times, final weight, items collected, death reason, and XP score for every round you played while signed in. You will no longer appear on any leaderboard after deletion.
- Your active sign-in sessions — any browser still signed in to your account is signed out.
Once the deletion has finished, we have no record that the account ever existed. The action cannot be undone.
2. What we do not control
A few systems sit outside our database and follow their own schedules:
- Server log files may contain your IP address or account ID for short-term operational reasons (debugging, abuse prevention). Logs are not indexed by user and are rotated on a normal schedule.
- Google AdSense, Google sign-in, and Facebook sign-in keep their own records of your activity with them. Use Google’s third-party access settings and Facebook’s Apps and Websites settings to revoke access on their side.
- CDN / cache layers may briefly retain anonymised request data (such as your IP and a request URL) while a cached response expires.
3. Delete your data now
The fastest way is to do it yourself. Sign in to the account you want to delete, then come back to this page and use the button below.
Checking your sign-in status…
4. Contact us instead
If you cannot sign in to the account, or you would prefer that we handle the request manually, send an email from the address linked to your account to [email protected] with the subject “Delete my data”. Please include the nickname you played under and the sign-in provider you used (Google, Facebook, or Guest), so we can locate the right record. We will action the request within 30 days and confirm by email when it is done.
5. Removing the app from Facebook
When you remove Planet Snake from your Facebook Apps and Websites settings, Facebook automatically notifies us. Our server then deletes the account that was linked to that Facebook ID, exactly as if you had used the button above. You do not need to take any further action.
