Your snake moves across the surface of a hex-tiled sphere. Turn far enough and you can chase your own tail around the world.
Shared planet, real opponents
Every player lands on the same shared planet, populated with bot snakes so there's always someone to chase. Worlds scale automatically — when one fills up, the next batch of arrivals starts a new one.
Powerups that stack
Speed, magnet, invincibility, teleport and more. Grab the same powerup multiple times and it levels up — bigger pulls, faster boosts, longer effects.

How to play in 60 seconds
- Pick a name (or sign in). Use Play as Guest for instant access, or sign in with Google / Facebook to save your stats and avatar.
- Steer your snake. Use Q / E or the arrow keys to turn. On mobile, use the hex pad at the bottom of the screen.
- Eat fruit. Small, medium and large fruit grow your snake and earn you XP over time.
- Grab powerups. Special foods give you abilities — speed, magnet, invincibility, and more.
- Don't crash. If your head hits another snake's body (or your own tail), you die. Use your size to trap opponents.

Powerups
Pick up any of the glowing special foods to gain an effect. Same-type powerups stack — grab three speeds in a row and you'll race at level 3 until they wear off.
Tips and tricks
- Pentagons are free teleports. Twelve special cells on the planet have a portal — touch one and you'll instantly jump elsewhere at no cost.
- Manual teleport is a panic button. Hit T or Space to escape a trap — it costs 10% of your weight, so use it wisely.
- Stack the same powerup. Three regenerations in a row regrow you 3× faster. Three speeds stack to a higher max speed.
- Dash drains weight. The boost from W isn't free — you lose mass while you sprint.
- Watch the leaderboard medals. Players holding crowns are the current top-3 of a leaderboard period — they’re the ones to beat.

Is Planet Snake really free?
Yes — Planet Snake is free to play, with no in-app purchases. We show ads on some pages (like this one) to help keep the servers running, but never inside the game itself.
Do I need an account?
No — guest mode works fine. Signing in with Google or Facebook just saves your XP and avatar across devices so you can climb the leaderboard.
Does it work on phones and tablets?
Yes. The game uses a touch-friendly hex pad and works in any modern mobile browser. We recommend recent devices for the smoothest experience.
How do I play with my friends?
Everyone joining at the same time is matched into the same shared world (until it fills up, in which case a new world is spun up automatically). Hop into the lobby together and you'll meet on the same planet.
